Our Technology

QuasarGeo’s electromagnetic (EM) experts have developed and ocean-tested sensors designed for usability, reliability and overall performance in an easily deployed, compact package.

    • Innovative capacitive electrodes matched to low noise amplifiers
    • New miniaturized magnetic coil sensors
    • Ultra low noise, ultra low power data acquisition and storage electronics

Our Commitment

QuasarGeo capacitive electrode performance exceeds that of traditional Ag/AgCl electrodes in the controlled source electromagnetic band. QuasarGeo’s new class of magnetic coil sensors enables a significant reduction in size and weight. The full system, with the sensitivity and size advantages gained from these new innovative technologies, enables the measurement of all 6 components of the EM tensor (E, Ey, Ez, Bx, By, Bz).

Our commitment is bringing new technologies to market to advance exploration operations and drill decision analysis. The company’s lineage is rooted in research and development. This enables QuasarGeo to work closely with the Quasar Group of companies, industry-leading scientists at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and customers to explore commercialization of cutting-edge concepts like EM reservoir monitoring, towed EM and fully integrated survey instrumentation. Visit the Quasar Group page for more information about the group’s technical expertise.
